Well, isn't this journal the most fetching thing you've seen? I myself think it's quite the artifact! I'll have you know I was feeling quite left out of this project, all I could see was boys and girls walking around the tower, writing away on their magical books... even dearest Jane (you know, the Grey Lady) had one! It was most depressing.
Turns out that little skeeve Peeves had hidden my journal! Headmaster Dumbledore had been nice enough to give me a proper book too, but Peeves got hold of all the ghost journals from Filch! Imagine that! Except dearest Jane's, of course. She's the clever one, you know, so she got hers first. Even like this, I'm glad the Fat Friar didn't get one of these either because to be honest, the man won't stop talking to you once he starts, and let's just say I'm glad the Bloody Baron isn't around to to hear, er read, what I'm writing.
Apparently there were some problems during Valentine's Day? I saw Filch moping in the lonely corridors outside the kitchens and grumbling to himself about some character whose name I don't really remember. Is everything all right then?
